Title POLYMER BRUSH meetings
Abstract The purpose of the present invention is to provide a polymer brush that is able to form a phase-separated structure even in a gaseous phase. This polymer brush is characterized by a substrate, and by a polymer layer that has one end fixed to the substrate and in which the phase separation state between a polymer dense part and a polymer loose part changes reversibly.
Outline of related art and contending technology BACKGROUND ART
Fixed to the end of a substrate polymer brushes, one processing unit of the surface of the substrate 1 and, on the substrate surface hydrophilic, can impart properties such as low frictional properties has been known (Patent Document 1, 2). In addition, in the particular solvent to the polymer brush is disposed, and the solvent of the polymer brush phase so that phase separation occurs between the phases may be suggested by simulation (non-patent document 1). However, the polymer brush phase - phase separation between the solvent phase is not achieving the same, the specific method is not clear.
Further, the polymer phase - is phase separation between the solvent phase, and the solvent is present in occurring phenomenon for the first time, in the absence of solvents in the gas phase at the phase separation structure is not known. In addition the method is implemented is not known also. Technical application of the device or the like is taken into consideration, in the gas phase so long as a phase separation structure, the utility of the polymer brush is further improved. However, in the vapor phase to form a phase-separated structure of the polymer brush is also not shown in the simulation, not its implementation.
