発明の概要(英語) As a technique capable of achieving higher security performance in methods for authenticating security marks that use a photochromic compound, provided is an authentication method that comprises: a process for irradiating excitation light on a security mark containing a photochromic compound; a process for acquiring first security information relating to temporal changes of the absorption spectrum and/or the reflection spectrum of the security mark after irradiation of the excitation light; and a process for comparing the acquired first security information with previously acquired first security information on said security mark. In said authentication method, the security mark preferably contains two or more photochromic compounds for which the coloring and/or the rate of decoloring after coloring as a result of a photochromic reaction differ.

1. A method for authenticating a safety mark includes a program process) for irradiating an excitation light with a security mark comprising a photochromic compound, a procedure for obtaining a first safety information on the absorption spectrum and/or the time-dependent variation of the reflectance spectrum generated by the irradiation of the light, wherein the first safety information system comprises the absorption wavelength of the photochromic compound. The safety marking system comprises two or more photochromic compounds which are different in color and/or color erasing speed based on the color change of the photochromic reaction and/or color.

2. An authentication method for a request item 1, wherein a first security information acquired in advance with respect to the security mark is checked in accordance with the first security information acquired by the temperature correction at the time of acquisition.

The invention relates to an authentication method for a request item 1 or 2, wherein the security marking system further comprises a fluorescent substance, and further comprises a program for obtaining a second security information regarding the spectrum of the fluorescence emitted from the security mark; and a procedure for checking the acquired second security information and a second security information obtained beforehand on the security mark.

A safety mark authentication device comprising: an excitation light source which irradiates excitation light containing ultraviolet light and/or wavelength 400 to 600 nm on a safety mark; a measuring light source which irradiates visible light and/or near infrared light on the safety mark; and a light detector which detects transmitted light or reflected light of the visible light and/or near infrared light generated by the safety mark. A resolution section stores a signal outputted from the photodetector as a first safety information on the time-dependent variation of absorption spectrum and/or reflection spectrum generated by the safety mark after irradiating the excitation light, wherein the first security information includes information on the absorption wavelength (or reflection wavelength) and/or intensity thereof of the photochromic compound, and time information; and a display section; The resolution section stores first security information acquired in advance by the security mark, checks the acquired first security information and the stored first security information, and outputs the result to the display section.

An authentication device for a request item 5, wherein correction information specifying a relationship between an achromatic speed of the photochromic compound and a temperature is stored, and based on the correction information, a first safety information acquired in accordance with a temperature correction obtained at the time of acquisition is corrected for a first safety information stored.
