Title PLANT HAVING MUTANT-TYPE CYCLIN F-box GENE
Abstract The present invention pertains to a plant that has a mutant-type cyclin F-box gene including a nucleotide mutation causing a non-conservative amino acid substitution in the cyclin F-box protein, and that has an improved sugar content in the fruit when compared to wild type. In addition, the present invention pertains to a parthenocarpic plant that has a mutant-type cyclin F-box gene including a nucleotide mutation causing a non-conservative amino acid substitution in the cyclin F-box protein.
Outline of related art and contending technology BACKGROUND ART
In recent years, with the increasing demand of tomato, tomato plants are popular particularly high sugar content. A lithography using a high sugar content of tomato, tomato plants to water stress load at the time of cultivation (tomato plants amount of water supply to the limited amount of water absorption by or tomato plants) and is frequently carried out, for water stress caused by the load of the cultivated tomato high sugar cultivation method or various known instruments and the like (for example, Patent Document 1-2). Another technique of high sugar content of tomato, (Patent Document 3-5) improved agent such as sugar, red light irradiation treatment after the end of the light phase (Patent Document 6) and the like are also known. However the conventional high sugar content virtualization technology, special equipments and a technique for cultivating the cultivated, economy, workability and stability in terms of the many problems. Stably and cost less effort than tomato to high sugar content has been desired development of a new technology.
On the other hand, tomatoes were self-pollinated plant is, in the facility cultivation, air assist pollination is eliminated because insects, deposition rate decreases so that the ratio decreases the effects of cross-pollination is known. Therefore inflorescence and fruit of the plant hormone for promoting hypertrophy by single result is widely used. Using the bumblebee pollination facilitation or vibrator may be used. Although plant hormone treatment or vibrator pollination by an enormous amount of labor and the promotion processing is, workability is significantly reduced. Workability is good but the method of using the bumblebee, bumblebee activity due to the limited temperature range, temperature management of the summer and in winter in the facility is a problem that the increase in the cost and labor required. The cross-pollination, and the result is applied based on fertilization, summer or winter through pollen fertility by falling of the year it difficult to secure stable production amount also. Therefore, to reduce the effect of environmental factors such as season with less effort and cost in order to allow stable plants, tomato plants results in a higher working efficiency for the development of a technique to induce single is demanded.
In order to induce single tomato plants of the result of the relatively recent technique is, in the context of non-plant hormonal effects through the use or method (for example, patent document 7), introducing into the plant a gene encoding a single result for tomato and the like (Patent Document 8-9) method. However the effects of method of use of the adhesion promoter is a problem still in terms of workability. The result for the conventional single gene was created using the tomato cultivar is a single-for result, such as fruit softening is a problem in the respect of quality. Therefore, it is preferable for a single well as result in the development of the tomato cultivar fruit properties has been desired.
Further, as well as tomato plants, also in many other plants, lower labor and cost in a single stable fruit in order to allow for the production of desired result in the development of the method of induction.
