Title IMPROVED VARIETY OF SORGHUM
Abstract The purpose of the present invention is to provide a variety of sorghum that has higher biomass and contains starting sugar materials at a higher ratio (i.e., a higher sugar content). An improved variety derived from a sorghum variety 74LH3213, wherein chromosome 6 DNA is partially or entirely substituted by a DNA region containing high-sugar content locus qBRX-6 derived from another sorghum variety SIL-05; and an improved Tentaka variety obtained by crossing the improved variety derived from 74LH3213 as described above with a sorghum variety MS79A.
Scope of claims [claim1]
1. Being the revised plant of sol gum kind 74LH3213,
Portion or all of 6th chromosome DNA, is substituted to the DNA territory which includes the high sugar characteristic heredity stroma qBRX-6 of sol gum kind SIL-05 origin,
74LH3213 revised plant.

2. The aforementioned DNA territory, description below (A) (J) is the DNA territory to DNA marker SB3762 from DNA marker SB3412, in claim 1 the 74LH3213 revised plant of statement:
(A) from DNA marker SB3412,
(J) To DNA marker SB3762.

3. Both of the 6th chromosome of opposite it possesses the aforementioned substitution, in claim 1 or 2 the 74LH3213 revised plant of statement.

4. In either of claim 1-3 seed of 74LH3213 revised plant of statement.
