発明の概要(英語) A rewritable hologram recording material having characteristics in which fast responsiveness and long-term memory are both achieved, wherein the rewritable hologram recording material is characterized by containing: a copolymer obtained by introducing a carbazole azobenzene in a portion of the side chain of an acrylic polymer; and a carbazole azobenzene molecule that is the same type or a different type as the above-noted carbazole azobenzene.
従来技術、競合技術の概要(英語) BACKGROUND ART
One type of material is known to have good charge transport property and, as a case of an application of the photorefractive effect. And the photorefractive effect, Pockels effect such as laser beam is irradiated by a change in the refractive index of a material. However, a device using the conventional photorefractive effect is, several tens V/ µm photorefractive (several MV/cm, for example 100μm of the thickness of the element corresponding to the voltage of several kV) is applied to a high electric field is required, the possibility of dielectric breakdown under high electric potential disadvantage is high.

In addition, Patent Document 1, 2 and a hologram recording material of the polymer disclosed in the different, as the material for the low-molecular-weight type hologram, a carbazole azobenzene skeleton sites, the para-position of benzene and a nitro group, a cyano group is introduced into the substituents such as a low molecular weight compound material is disclosed (Patent Document 3). Furthermore, as the material of the rewritable type hologram display, the para-position of benzene substituent group of a nitro group (PMMA) polymethyl carbazole azobenzene (3-[ (4-nitrophenyl) azo]-9H-carbazole-9-ethanol (NACzE) ) dispersed, dissolved in a photorefractive material used as a material to perform the recording of the hologram has been disclosed (Patent Document 4, 5, Non-Patent Document 1, 2, 3). However, the above carbazole azobenzene is dispersed, dissolved materials, the information of the hologram recorded in the passage with the lapse of time, has the disadvantage of a lack of memory.
Therefore, as a means for solving the above-mentioned drawbacks, a carbazole azobenzene in the side chain, such as PMMA as a main chain of the acrylic polymer comprises a copolymer, the rewritable memory is improved and the development of a hologram material has been promoted.
