発明の概要(英語) Provided is an endoscope expansion device which makes it possible for a single endoscope to be expanded to become an endoscope having a plurality of observation functions. An endoscope (20) is provided with an objective lens (22), a plurality of relay lens systems (24), and an eyepiece (26), and an exit pupil (Exp) is formed immediately downstream of the eyepiece (26). A housing (39) of the endoscope expansion device is attached to the eyepiece (26) by means of an attachment portion (32). A relay optical system (34) and a branching portion (36) which form a functionalization platform (31) are provided in the housing (39). The endoscope expansion device (30) uses the relay optical system (34) to move the exit pupil (Exp) of the endoscope (20) to a position away from the eyepiece (26). Light that has propagated along an optical path that has been caused to branch by the branching portion (36) is received by a light receiving portion (38). Employing the endoscope expansion device (30) with this configuration makes is possible for the single endoscope (20) to be expanded to become an endoscope having a plurality of observation functions.

1.
