Abstract The present invention provides: multicomponent solid solution microparticles represented by the following formula PdxRuyMz (where M is one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Rh, Pt, Cu, Ag, Au, and Ir, x + y + z = 1, x + y = 0.01 to 0.99, z = 0.99 to 0.01, and x:y = 0.1:0.9 to 0.9:0.1); a method for manufacturing the multicomponent solid solution microparticles; and a supported catalyst.
Scope of claims [claim1]
1. Having the following formula: PdxRuyMz(Mis Rh, Pt, cu, Ag, Ir and Au is at least one selected from the group consisting of type 1. x+y+z=1, x+ y=0.01-0.99, z=0.99-0.01, x:y=0.1:0.9-0.9:0. 1) a multi-component solid solution represented by the fine particles.

2. M is Rh, Pt, cu, Ag, Ir and Au is selected from the group consisting 2 1 one or two, of the solid solution fine particles according to claim 1 multicomponent system.
