従来技術、競合技術の概要(英語) BACKGROUND ART
Current, high elasticity, an ultra low friction property, having excellent properties such as a biocompatible polymer brush thick (Concentrated Polymer Brush, CPB) highly hierarchical studies has been promoted.
Further, a technique has been formed on the surface a dramatic to realize and increasing the film thickness of the macro system exhibits excellent tribology (Tribology, solid-to-surface contact, friction, wear, lubrication problems associated with the targeted to one area of science and technology) demonstrated characteristics has been attempted (Fig. 1).
The present inventors have, by living radical polymerization method (Living Radical Polymerization(LRP)), poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) graft surfaces made of a homopolymer of (CPB) is prepared by solid-state (patent document 1).
The graft surface solid, ultra-sensitive sensor and/or high efficiency can be applied as a separator.
The inventors of the present invention, the surface grafted polymer chains (CPB) are making the lubricating material (patent document 2).The lubricant is, the backbone of the polymer layer has a thickness on the order of 10-100 nm expressed low-friction property, the smoothness of the sub-micron or nano-order need also effective as a sliding member.
The inventors of the present invention, the sliding surface of the graft chain structure of a polymer containing an ionic liquid layer is formed is prepared by a sliding member (Patent Document 3).This sliding member can be, has a friction-reducing effect between the slide surfaces, sustaining and that has a low frictional sliding member.
