発明の概要(英語) Disclosed is a bone cement composition which has a short downtime that is the time necessary for the composition to become ready for handling, and is therefore capable of achieving high work efficiency by shortening the time that is necessary before the handling of the bone cement composition is started. Also disclosed are a bone cement composition kit for obtaining a bone cement composition, and a method for producing a bone cement cured body. The bone cement composition is characterized by containing (meth)acrylate polymer large diameter particles having an average particle diameter of 10-60 μm, (meth)acrylate polymer small diameter particles having an average particle diameter of 0.1-2.0 μm, a (meth)acrylate monomer and a polymerization initiator. The bone cement composition is also characterized in that the content ratio of the (meth)acrylate polymer small diameter particles relative to the total amount of the (meth)acrylate polymer small diameter particles and the (meth)acrylate polymer large diameter particles is 5-30% by mass.
従来技術、競合技術の概要(英語) BACKGROUND ART
In the prior art, the bone cement composition, the bone defect compensation agent, an artificial hip joint prosthesis made of metal such as an adhesive or the like and fixing to the surrounding bone as is widely used in the world and, as such bone cement composition, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) based bone cement composition is the most widely used. PMMA-based bone cement composition is, in general, and polymethyl methacrylate, methyl methacrylate monomer and the polymerizable monomer, containing polymerization initiator, methyl methacrylate monomer can be polymerized in the presence of a polymethyl methacrylate is gradually increased viscosity and finally is to form a hardened body.
