発明の概要(英語) [Problem] To provide a flame retardant material capable of being used in a structure requiring flame retardance, such as a liquid oxygen tank storing a liquid having high oxidizing properties.
[Solution] A flame retardant material characterized by including: a carbon fiber having a tensile modulus of at least 700 GPa; and a flame-retardant resin such as polycarbonate.
従来技術、競合技術の概要(英語) BACKGROUND ART
Including an aircraft or a rocket-based, such as an automobile in recent years, lightweight and high strength is required at the site of the various structures, has been widely used a composite material. Among them, the structure of the rocket-based, and almost all occupied by the fuel tank, as the material, a metal material such as aluminum alloy or titanium alloy has been used. In order to improve the performance of the fuel tank, a metal material excellent in specific strength than carbon fiber reinforced plastic typified by the use of composite materials is demanded (see Non-Patent Document 1). For space rocket or the like, as a propellant liquid oxygen is often used. However, carbon fibers and plastic, the presence of oxygen in the liquid for some reason the impact force is applied, and the ignition energy, risk of explosion tank or the like. Therefore, the liquid plastic is applied to the carbon fiber cannot be an oxygen tank.
Also, in addition to a rocket-based, land based vehicles such as a tanker truck in the field of consumer, which is typically a liquid oxygen for storing a liquid strong oxidizing carbon fiber reinforced plastic has been desired development of the tank.
