PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat transfer tube for supplying hot water embodied in a simple construction, having a small pressure loss inside the tube, and capable of enhancing the heat transfer performance in the low Reynold's number region.
SOLUTION: The heat transfer tube 31 for supplying hot water having an inside diameter D of 8 mm is provided on the inner surface with a plurality of protrusions whose height H1 ranges between 0.8-2.0 mm, or H1 is 0.1-0.25 times as large as D. An experimental result implies that enhancement of the heat transfer efficiency due to the protrusions is obtained in the low Reynold's number division in which the Reynold's number Re of the fluid flowing inside is below 7000, and that the effect of the protrusions on the pressure loss inside the tube is suppressed, to lead to enhancement of the performance of the whole heat transfer tube.
