PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect radiation having a low transmission force with high sensitivity, and detect a radioactive material by the radiation.
SOLUTION: In a sample S, a measuring object material particle R is transferred to a surface on one side of planer filter paper F. A first detection part 11 is used while being brought into close contact with a surface side where the measuring object material particle R is transferred. On the other hand, a second detection part 12 is used while being brought into close contact with a surface side opposite to the sample S in a state where a vertical relationship is inverted to the first detection part 11. An energy spectrum by subtracting a second spectrum obtained by the second detection part 12 from a first spectrum obtained by the first detection part 11 can be calculated. In the energy spectrum, an influence of β rays is reduced, and an influence of α rays is emphasized. Therefore, the radioactive material emitting the α rays can be detected with high sensitivity.
