PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation evaluation method that can properly evaluate radiation density of a CP nuclide and FP nuclide contained in a coolant.
SOLUTION: A radiation evaluation method, which evaluates radiation density Dx of a nuclide x contained in a coolant W, includes: a first evaluation step (S1) of evaluating first radiation density D1x of a nuclide x of a coolant system structural member cause; a second evaluation step (S2) of evaluating second radiation density D2x of a nuclide of a nuclear fuel material cause on the basis of the first radiation density and a FP nuclide correction term; and a third evaluation step (S3) of evaluating radiation density Dx of a nuclide x on the basis of the first radiation density D1x and second radiation density D2x. The second evaluation step is configured to: calculate a FP nuclide correction coefficient using coolant density measurement data and radiation density by a prescribed general-purpose activation analysis code; calculate a FP contribution ratio using the radiation density of the nuclide of the coolant system structural member cause, and the radiation density of the nuclide of the nuclear fuel material cause the coolant system structural member contains; and calculate the FP nuclide correction term.
