PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring an electromagnetic wave output, which can measure the electromagnetic wave output in real time during an operation period, without affecting the main beam of an electromagnetic wave propagating through a waveguide.
SOLUTION: A high-power microwave heating system is equipped with a gyrotron 1 used as a high-frequency microwave output device, a corrugated waveguide 2 which propagates an output microwave in a desired direction, and an applicator 3 in which an object to be heated is disposed. Furthermore, the apparatus 4 for measuring the electromagnetic wave output is disposed next to the corrugated waveguide 2. A plurality of pore sections are formed in the corrugated waveguide 2 along its axial direction, and a plane wave made up by interference of electromagnetic waves which leak out from these pore sections, is measured by an antenna section 40, thereby computing the output in the corrugated waveguide 2.
