PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional pulse radar device requires a long signal transmission time to obtain a single result since pulse repetition cycles are long when composite band processing is carried out.
SOLUTION: The device is provided with a frequency calculator which finds frequency information on a received wave by using previously found information on the distance to a target, a phase calculator which calculates a phase as the same initial phase with a local oscillation signal for transmission used when a transmitted wave corresponding to the received wave is generated from the frequency information on the received wave by the frequency calculator and the pulse repetition cycle, and an initial phase variation type frequency synthesizer which generates a local oscillation frequency for reception of the frequency corresponding to the frequency of the received wave in the initial phase found by the phase calculator by using the frequency information of the received wave found by the frequency calculator.
