PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized, light-weight and easy-to-handle device for measuring the height and displacement of wires such as a trolley wire and metal fittings without contacting by a laser beam capable of easily and visually confirming laser beam irradiation onto a measurement object in a simple structure at a low cost.
SOLUTION: This measurement device 1 is placed at a prescribed position on a rail R, the measurement device 4 is slid in the orthogonal direction of the rail R on a slide frame 3 and the laser beam of a laser distance sensor 12 is irradiated to the trolley wire. A numerical value displayed by it is read, a measure on a displacement measurement scale 10 indicated by an indicator 13 is read and the height and displacement of the trolley wire on the railroad are measured. While overlapping the sharp end of a front sight plate 15 with the line 17 of sight of a mirror 14 and viewing it, the measurement device 4 is slid and the trolley wire is overlapped with the line 17 of sight and brought over to a projecting position. At the time, the laser beam is irradiated to the trolley wire and detection sound is sounded. The mirror 14 is rotated and a spot on the trolley wire is searched and visually confirmed.
