PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent buckling of a main reinforcement and shearing dislocation of a skeleton base part by providing a shape steel along a right-angled direction to a bridge axis outside a steel plate, anchoring the shape steel to a footing by an anchor reinforcement, and cutting connection between the steel plate and shape steel.
SOLUTION: An H-shape steel 3 is provided along a right-angled direction to a bridge axis outside of a lining steel plate 2 at a base part of a skeleton 1a of a bridge pier 1. The H-shape steel 3 is oriented so that its flange part 3a points vertically and that its web part 3b points horizontally. An anchor reinforcement 4 is anchored to a footing 1c, and its upper end pierces the web part 3b of the H-shape steel 3 to cramp-fix the H-shape steel 3 by a nut 4a. Cushioning material 5 is clamped between the lining steel plate 2 and the flange part 3a of the H-shape steel 3 to cut connection between the steel plate 2 and H-shape steel 3 so that the flexure bearing force after reinforcement of the bridge pier 1 does not change from that before reinforcement. Buckling of a main reinforcement and shearing dislocation of the skeleton base part are thereby prevented without opening a through hole in the skeleton 1a or reinforcing the footing.
