PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hardness and wetness identifying device having simple construction for reliably and quickly identifying the quality of a measured specimen while simply contacting, leaving and thrusting it.
SOLUTION: An operation drive mechanism 6 is used for making the surface of a first metal electrode 11 of a voltage detection part 1 contact, leave and thrust the measured specimen 100 to detect voltage generated between first and second metal electrodes 11, 12 and detect each voltage waveform of the voltage in accordance with the detected voltage. In accordance with reference specimen data regarding each detected voltage waveform and the previously obtained hardness and wetness of each of the plurality of measured specimens 100, a hardness and wetness discriminating part 5 discriminates the hardness and wetness of one of the plurality of measured specimens 100. This actualizes discrimination with each voltage waveform formed when contacting, leaving and thrusting the measured specimen 101, resulting in simple construction for reliably and quickly identifying the quality of the measured specimen in an effective manner while simply contacting, leaving and thrusting it.
