PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser imprint apparatus which can efficiently form a fine structure on a local surface without causing energy loss while maintaining precision of a glass component and give a high addition value to the glass component.
SOLUTION: The laser imprint apparatus forms one or a plurality of projected parts on the surface of an article 23 to be processed formed of a glass material by imprint processing. The apparatus is equipped with: a mold member 21 which is formed of a material transmissive with a laser beam 13 and in which recessed parts 22 corresponding to the projected parts are formed: a close contact means 30 for making the mold member 21 in close contact with the processing surface of the article 23 to be processed; and laser irradiation means 11, 12 for irradiating the article 23 to be processed with the laser beam 13 through the mold member 21 to soften and expand the article 23 to be processed at a position irradiated with the laser beam 13. The surface of the article (glass) 23 to be processed, irradiated with the laser beam 13 by the laser irradiation means 11, 12, softens and expands into the recessed parts 22 of the mold member 21. Thereby, the projected parts corresponding to the recessed parts 22 of the mold member 21 are transferred to the surface of the glass 23.
