PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid mixer which is capable of sucking as large a quantity of fluid as possible and mixing it with some other fluid, and a fluid mixing method using this fluid mixer.
SOLUTION: A negative pressure is generated by supplying a pressurized fluid F0 into a tubular body 10 and lowering the pressure of the pressurized fluid F0 with the help of an orifice 20, and at the same time, a suction fluid F1 is sucked through a fluid chamber 40 and a fluid suction pipe 30 made up of a porous material or a porous membrane, and this sucked suction fluid F1 is mixed with the pressurized fluid F0 to generate a fluid splash group S. Further, the degree of the negative pressure in a second region 10B, on the downstream side, of the orifice 20, is heightened by making the inside diameter of the fluid suction pipe 30 the same as that of the tubular body 10. Besides, the resistance of the suction fluid F1 to its suction, is lessened by whittling the fluid suction pipe 30 down to the thickness of 2 mm or below. Thus a large quantity of the fluid splash group S is generated by sucking as large a quantity of the suction fluid F1 as possible into the tubular body 10 and mixing it with the pressurized fluid F0.
