PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for manufacturing alloy plates, wherein plate materials made of alloy having a wide range of the inter-solid-liquid phase temperature and a high flowability in a semi-solidified state are easily inexpensively manufactured, and the deficiencies are eliminated.
SOLUTION: The alloy plate manufacturing apparatus includes a first roll 1, a second roll 2, and a pool 3 for storing molten alloy, wherein the second roll is arranged while biased obliquely upward on the front side in the rotating direction of the first roll. The width of the second roll is narrower than that of the first roll, and the pool is surrounded with the surface 11 of the first roll, the surface 21 of the second roll, a rear member 31 and both side members 32. The first roll cools the molten alloy stored in the pool, to form on the surface a first layer being in semi-solidified and/or solidified state, and rotates while accompanied with the first layer. The second roll forms on the surface a second layer being in liquid and/or semi-solidified state, and rotates while accompanied with the second layer, so that the first and second layers are superimposed at the kissing point of both rolls.
