PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the joint structure of a shape memory alloy, which does not impair the characteristics of the shape memory alloy, causes no stress concentration, and enables electrical/mechanical joint easily.
SOLUTION: According to the joint structure 10 for joining a shape memory alloy coil 2 to an electrode 6, a copper thin film 4, which is formed on one end of the shape memory alloy coil 2 in a direction different from where shape restoring force acts, is made to come in contact electrically with the electrode 6, which is formed on a board 1, for example, as a pattern, directly, or indirectly via a eutectic solder 8, and the coil 2 and the electrode 6 are mechanically fixed together. The copper film 4 is not formed on the part of the coil 2 that is not covered with the eutectic solder 8.
