| Abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly transfer a liquid to a substrate by releasing an abnormal state wherein a rod-like transfer member becomes unslidable with respect to a holding member when this abnormal state occurs in a liquid transfer device for transferring the liquid allowed to adhere to the leading end of the transfer member to the substrate. SOLUTION: The transfer device A has the transfer member 3, which has a transfer surface 3b and a head part 3d, formed to the leading end of a shaft-like main body 3a, the holding member 5 for holding the transfer member 3 so as to make the member 3 slidable axially, a drive member 6 for raising and lowering the holding member 5 and a regulation member 7 coming into contact with the head part 3d of the transfer member 3 held to the holding member 5 to rise and fall and reaching a falling limit to stop. When the holding member 5 is allowed to fall to the falling limit, the transfer surface 3b of the transfer member 3 comes into contact with the substrate 1 and the contact with the regulation member 7 of the transfer member 3 is released to transfer the liquid to the substrate 1 under the own weight of the liquid. When the holding member 5 is raised, the head part 3d of the transfer member 3 held in the abnormal state comes into contact with the contact member 7a of the regulation member 7 to release the abnormal state. |
| Outline of related art and contending technology |
(In Japanese) 最近、医療の分野では遺伝子（DNA）や蛋白質を用いた治療や薬品の開発が行われている。このような技術分野の研究機関では、化学合成した異なる遺伝子のコピーを試料としてガラス板や合成樹脂板等からなる基盤上に数千個～数万個張り付けたDNAチップと呼ばれるものが取り扱われる。また抗体、ポリペプチド断片等を含めた各種蛋白質を試料としてガラス板や合成樹脂板等からなる基盤上に数千個～数万個張り付けた蛋白質チップと呼ばれるものが取り扱われる。 【0003】 上記DNAチップ及び蛋白質チップはアレイヤーと呼ばれる装置を利用して製造される。このアレイヤーとしては、軸状の本体部の先端に転写面を形成すると共に本体部の外周に転写面と接続する溝を設けた転写部材を有し、この転写部材をキャリッジに搭載して作業領域内を移動させると共に昇降手段によって昇降させ、該転写部材が作業テーブルに接近したときに、作業テーブルに載置された基盤に液を転写し得るように構成されたものがある（例えば特許文献1参照）。 【0004】 上記アレイヤーでは、キャリッジに搭載した転写部材を移動させて基盤の所定位置に設定された10mm角の領域に、約0．2mmピッチで2500個程度の液を転写した点を形成し得るように構成されている。このため、基盤に接触する転写面の面積は極めて小さく、従って、転写部材の先端部分の径は極めて細く形成されている。 【0005】 また基盤に対する液の転写を短時間で行えるように、転写装置は、1台の保持部材に複数の転写部材を保持して構成され、且つ液の転写を安定した状態で行えるように保持部材に保持した複数の転写部材を長さ方向（軸方向）に摺動し得るように構成している。そして保持部材を下降させ、転写部材の転写面が基盤に接触した後、更に保持部材を所定寸法下降させることで、基盤に接触した転写面に転写部材の自重のみを作用させ、これにより、転写部材自体に且つ転写面に過大な力が作用することのないように構成されている。 【0006】 【特許文献1】 特許第3037691号 |

(In Japanese) 【請求項1】 軸状の本体と該本体の先端に形成した転写面を有する転写部材を基盤に接触させて該基盤に液を転写する転写装置に於いて、転写部材を軸方向に摺動可能に保持する保持部材と、前記保持部材を昇降させる駆動部材と、前記保持部材に保持された転写部材の上端部と当接して昇降し且つ下降限度に到達して停止する規制部材と、を有し、前記駆動部材によって保持部材を下降限度まで下降させたとき転写部材の転写面が基盤に接触すると共に規制部材との当接が解除されて該転写部材の自重が作用して液を転写し、前記駆動部材によって保持部材を上昇させたとき保持部材に対し異常状態で保持されている転写部材の上端部が規制部材に当接して該異常状態を解除すると共に保持部材の更なる上昇に伴って規制部材も上昇し得るように構成されたことを特徴とする液の転写装置。 |
