PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system for a human body radio network which can handle, in one lump, a wide range of transmission speed from several kilo-bits per minute to several tens mega-bits per minute advantageously using respective features of human body surface transmission and human body internal transmission.
SOLUTION: A communication system for a human body radio network is comprised of: an on-body transmitter 3 which transmits an on-body signal by use of human body surface transmission; an in-body transmitter 4 which transmits an in-body signal by use of human body internal transmission; and a dual mode receiver 2 which receives the on-body signal and the in-body signal. The on-body transmitter 3 performs transmission with the use of a pulse in a frequency band between 1 and 100 MHz by an impulse radio mode, and the in-body transmitter 4 performs transmission with the use of a pulse in the frequency band of a UWB low band by the impulse radio mode.
