PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for transmitting railroad wayside information on a pin-point basis and a real time basis by grasping the traveling position of a train when transmitting railroad wayside information such as degradation of the meteorological state and occurrence of a disaster.
SOLUTION: The system comprises an on-vehicle equipment mounted on a train, and a railroad wayside monitoring equipment for transmitting railroad wayside information obtained by monitoring the state of a railroad wayside. The on-vehicle equipment includes an on-vehicle storage unit for storing train position information or the like, an on-vehicle transmission-reception unit for performing the radio communication to/from the railroad wayside monitoring equipment, and an on-vehicle control unit for instructing the communication to the on-vehicle transmission-reception unit, and performs the control that the on-vehicle control unit and the railroad wayside monitoring control unit establish the communication between the on-vehicle transmission-reception unit and the railroad wayside monitoring transmission-reception unit when the on-vehicle equipment and the railroad wayside monitor equipment are brought close to each other within a predetermined distance based on the train position information stored in the on-vehicle storage unit and the monitoring equipment position information stored in the railroad wayside monitoring storage unit.
