PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor exciton system which is available as a semiconductor quantum device for a quantum computer and in which Bose-Einstein condensate is performed within a macro region.
SOLUTION: A semiconductor quantum device 1 comprises a semiconductor hetero interface which is constituted in the order of a semiconductor I2, a semiconductor II3, a semiconductor III4, and a semiconductor IV05, and an exciton comprised of quantum levels of electrons and positive holes in a triangular potential formed by applying an electric field is used for a semiconductor hetero structure including a staggered hetero interface, thereby reducing influences of hetero interface roughness upon the exciton. Further, by using a substrate for which an orientation of a GaAs substrate where Al0.4Ga0.6As/AlAs staggered hetero interface is grown is made off from (100) to 23.8°, the staggered hetero interface grown thereon is made into super flat surface and decoherence of the exciton in which Bose-Einstein condensate is performed is reduced, thereby obtaining a semiconductor quantum device 1 of which the computing time is long.
