PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a magnetoresistance effect element to which a barber pole electrode is applied is considered as an effective device when miniaturizing an ammeter or a wattmeter and it is considered that it is most efficient to form the barber pole electrode at 45° with respect to an axis of easy magnetization (a length direction of a strip-like element) but when a current passes through a boundary between substances of different conductivity, a current is deflected, such that it could not said that the barber pole electrode formed at 45° is most efficient.
SOLUTION: A magnetoresistance effect element comprises: a strip-shaped magnetic film in which an axis of easy magnetization is induced in a length direction; and a barber pole electrode which is formed on the magnetic film at a tilt angle θ with respect to the length direction. The tilt angle θ is smaller than 45°. Therefore, the magnetoresistance effect element of high efficiency can be provided by considering the deflection of a current in a boundary between the electrode and the magnetic film.
