PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidated LDL recognition peptide having further improved oxidated LDL recognition ability.
SOLUTION: An oxidated LDL recognition peptide comprises (a) amino acid sequence ranging from the 2-position of Lys to any one of the 16-position of Asp to the 29-position of Lys as C terminus in a specific amino acid sequence, or (b) amino acid sequence ranging from the 10-position of Lys to any one of the 16-position of Asp to the 29-position of as C Lys terminus in a specific amino acid sequence. A fluorescence substance is bound on an ε-amino group on the 1-position of Lys of the oxidated LDL recognition peptide. The oxidated LDL recognition peptide has a feature that the oxidated LDL recognition peptide has a potent binding to oxidated LDL at 10 times or more compared to non oxidated LDL. The fluorescence substance is fluorescein isothiocyanate, and is bound to the oxidated LDL recognition peptide with a linker substance comprised of 6-aminocaproic acid.
