PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-chip processor capable of reducing a circuit scale and a power consumption of a computer system.
SOLUTION: In a one-chip processor 1, a program counter 4 counts addresses on a memory 2 of an instruction to be executed next among the instructions described in a program 20. An instruction register 5 holds the instruction stored in the counted address. General-purpose control means 31 reads the instruction held in the instruction register 5 and executes the instruction read from the instruction register by controlling a calculator 7. Dedicated processing means 32 executes prescribed processing. A comprehensive control means 33 causes the dedicated processing means 32 to operate when the counted address agrees with a prescribed address, and causes the general-purpose control means 31 to execute the instruction stored in the counted address when the counted address does not agree with the prescribed address.
