|発明の名称||HIGH POTENTIAL STABLE CARRIER FOR SOLID-STATE POLYMER TYPE FUEL CELL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ELECTRODE CATALYSIS|
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrode catalysis that has fine particle carriers and noble metal particles of nano-meter size carried thereon, is usable as a substitute for carbon particles having platinum carried thereon, possibly prevents occurrence of dissolution, corrosion such as generation of quinone, etc., under high potential and also possibly more greatly reduces the use amount of platinum.
SOLUTION: Paying attention to the fact that some metal oxide and metal nitride which have specific components or crystal structures stably exist at high potential of 0.9 V or more without occurrence of dissolution, corrosion, etc., and some metal oxide and metal nitride have high electrical conductivities of 10S/cm or more, fine particles of these metal oxide and metal nitride are synthesized so as to have large specific surface areas of 3 m2/g or more by using vapor phase and/or liquid phase, and fine noble metal particles of 1 to 20 nm in particle diameter are carried on the surfaces of the fine particles of metal oxide and metal nitride with no aggregation of the noble metal particles, thereby supplying stable electrode material.
