PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate energy of discharge by detecting weak emission and processing an emission intensity waveform of the discharge in a noncontact discharge test which is performed under bad electromagnetic noise environment.
SOLUTION: An emission intensity waveform obtained by emitting light of discharge by applying voltage and current to a measuring object is measured by using a shielded and arranged emission measuring apparatus, a current waveform of the discharge is simultaneously measured by a shielded and arranged current measuring apparatus, and a database in which relation between the waveforms and analysis data obtained by analyzing the waveforms is recorded based on applied power information applied to the measuring object is created. The emission intensity waveform of the discharge generated from the measuring object is measured on the basis of electromagnetic waves generated by the discharge of the measuring object. Magnitude of the discharge is estimated as a value by comparing emission data calculated by analyzing the intensity waveform with data recorded in the database.
