Title AGING MARKER AND USE OF THE SAME
Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel aging marker.
SOLUTION: There are provided (1) an aging marker made of a Transmembrane glycoprotein NMB (GPNMB) gene or GPNMB protein; (2) an aging determination kit that comprises: a primer set for amplifying cDNA of GPNMB gene; a probe which specifically hybridizes mRNA of the GPNMB gene; or a specifically binding substance to the GPNMB protein, and (3) an aging determination method which comprises a process of quantifying an expression level of the GPNMB gene or the GPNMB protein in a biological sample, in which an expression level of the GPNMB gene or the GPNMB protein corresponds to the progress of aging.

【請求項1】
 
Transmembrane glycoprotein NMB(GPNMB)遺伝子又はGPNMBタンパク質からなる老化マーカー。

【請求項2】
 
GPNMB遺伝子のcDNAを増幅するためのプライマーセット、
GPNMB遺伝子のmRNAに特異的にハイブリダイズするプローブ、又は
GPNMBタンパク質に対する特異的結合物質、を備える、老化判定用キット。

【請求項3】
 
生体試料中の、GPNMB遺伝子又はGPNMBタンパク質の発現量を定量する工程を備え、前記GPNMB遺伝子又は前記GPNMBタンパク質の発現量が老化の進行度に対応する、老化判定方法。
