PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiometer for measuring the temperature of an object with high accuracy.
SOLUTION: Radiation from an object is separated into polarization by a polarization filter 3, and one portion thereof is inserted into a spectrum analyzer 7 via a first optical path 4, and the other portion is inserted into the spectrum analyzer 7 via a second optical path 5 so as to measure a dichroic ratio. On the other hand, the radiation of a black body 2 with a quasi-thermal balance state of a vacuum very low temperature placed in a vacuum very low temperature thermostat bath 1 is inserted into the polarization filter 3 via a third optical path 6 so as to be separated into the polarization, and each polarization is inserted into the same optical paths 4, 5 as that of the optical path for the radiation of the object as well as into the spectral analyzer 7 so as to measure the dichroic ratio, and from these two dichroic ratios, the temperature of the object is obtained with high accuracy.
