PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological information acquisition apparatus capable of acquiring brain function information of a wide range of the brain at a high spatial resolution by improving a contact property thereof with a surface of the brain having a complicated three-dimensional curved surface shape.
SOLUTION: Multiple hexagonal-shape measurement subunits 1 in top view, each of which includes electrodes 11 for picking up electric signals from a brain surface, LEDs 13 for applying stimulus to the brain; and a PD (a photodiode) 14 mounded on a rigid board 10, are disposed in a two-dimensional honeycomb state, and the subunits 1 are connected to each other with connecting parts 17 as FPC board. The signals obtained by the electrodes 11 and the like of the multiple measurement subunits 1 are transmitted by a bus line system, so that a plurality of connecting parts 17 connected to one measurement sub unit 1 receive a same signal. Consequently, when one route connected to a measurement sub unit to which a cable line 4 for transmitting a control unit is connected, can be secured, appropriate connecting parts 17 can be cut. This configuration can increase flexibility of the motion of the measurement subunit 1 so as to optimally closely stick the electrodes 11 and 12 of the respective sub units 1 to the brain surface.
