PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary machine capable of maintaining a heat transfer capability between a condensation part and an evaporation part even in the case where a device is tilted or shaken as a whole.
SOLUTION: The rotary machine is configured to cool an object to be cooled within a rotor which is rotated around an axis of rotation by thermosyphon actions. The rotary machine comprises: a condensation part disposed outside of the rotor for condensing a coolant; an evaporation part for evaporating a liquid-phase coolant condensed by the condensation part inside of the rotor and performing heat exchange with the object to be cooled; and connection piping including a bent portion through which the coolant reciprocate between the evaporation part and the condensation part. The connection piping has a piping structure in which a liquid-phase coolant flow passage through which the liquid-phase coolant condensed in the condensation part is circulated and a gas-phase coolant flow passage through which a gas-phase coolant evaporated in the evaporation part is circulated are provided separately.
