PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an energy discrimination of the radiation high in resolution and high in S/N.
SOLUTION: A radiation detection device 1 comprises a side surface 3a and main surfaces 3b and 3c on which radiation is incident, and includes: a plate-like conversion member 3 including a CdTe crystal; a plurality of electrodes 7 two-dimensionally separated and arrayed on the main surface 3b; an electrode 5 arrayed on the main surface 3c; and a readout circuit 9 connected to the plurality of electrodes 7 and reading out an electric charge generated between a plurality of respective electrodes 7 and the electrode 5 inside the conversion member 3 independently as a readout signal. The readout circuit 9 is independently provided for the plurality of electrodes 7, and includes: a plurality of threshold value setting circuit 13 for outputting an electric signal corresponding to the electric charge when the electric charge exceeds the predetermined threshold value; and a plurality of signal output circuits 15 for accumulating the electric signals outputted from the plurality of threshold value setting circuits 13 for the plurality of electrodes 7, and outputting the accumulated electric signals as the readout signals at the predetermined timing.
