PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems associated with incompatibility between a blood flow rate in an artificial blood vessel and a physical size of a diseased infant in BT-shunt procedure.
SOLUTION: A flow rate regulation device for an artificial blood vessel includes a cylindrical balloon provided with an easily deformable inner wall forming a liquid injection space and a difficultly deformable outer wall, and a flexible tube connected to the liquid injection space at a connection part. The tube includes an inlet for liquid. The balloon has a cylindrical center space surrounded with the inner wall. In a state where the artificial blood vessel is inserted in the center space, the liquid is injected from the tube to the liquid injection space, thereby the inner wall balloons inside to decrease the artificial blood vessel in diameter.
