PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement method for an axial force of a ground anchor capable of easily measuring the axial force for many ground anchors without requiring a large-scale device.
SOLUTION: An axial force measurement method, for a ground anchor used for stabilization of a slope or the like, comprises the steps of: measuring the position, size, and area of an anchor hole on a bearing plate by oscillating ultrasonic waves at a lateral surface of the bearing plate; calculating a bearing area at which an anchor head installed on a head of the ground anchor, and the bearing plate are in contact; measuring reflected waves at plural points on an upper surface of the anchor head by oscillating ultrasonic waves toward the bearing plate; calculating stresses of the anchor head at the plural points from an amplitude of reflected waves; calculating an average stress by averaging stresses at the plural points; and calculating an axial force from the product of the bearing area and the average stress.
