PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lacrimal passage imaging method and device that can take two-dimensional and three-dimensional tomographic images of lacrimal passages in the non-contact nor non-invasion manner and also measure a flow rate and a flow quantity of the lachrymal fluid, and thereby can be used for examination or diagnosis of various lacrimal passage diseases such as lacrimal passage obstruction, lacrimal canaliculitis and functional lacrimation, or can be used for therapeutic effect prediction (including surgery adaptive presence or absence) of the lacrimal passage diseases together, and provide eye drops for use in these.
SOLUTION: Eye drops containing a light scattering agent are used for a subject before OCT imaging and the histologic and dynamic optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging of the eyes of the subject is performed, and then the imaging of the lacrimal passage starting from lacrimal points 12, 13 and reaching total canaliculus 16 via canaliculus 14, 15 is made possible. Also, when performing the Doppler OCT imaging, the rate of the lacrimal flow can be measured. Further, even if not using the eye drops, the palpebral conjunctiva 31 of the subject is exposed and the histologic OCT imaging is performed in a trans-conjunctive manner through the palpebral conjunctiva 31, and then the above imaging of the lacrimal passage is possible.
