PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clarification apparatus and method of VOC-contaminated water that establishes a novel aeration method making use of the characteristics of micro/nano bubbles and can downsize the volume of an aeration tank by circulating object water, because gas liquid separation is practiced in a compact module.
SOLUTION: A ceramic module has a double-tube structure composed of a ceramic porous membrane tube 24 having micro/nano pores and an outer column 23 that seals and fixes the porous membrane tube and has nozzles to supply high-pressure air at the side and an opening for liquid flow at both ends. Tiny bubbles of a micro/nano size are brought into contact with VOC-contaminated water flowing in the porous membrane tube without adding a surfactant, the tiny bubbles being formed when the high-pressure air supplied from the side of the outer column 23 is injected to the inside from the outside of the ceramic porous membrane tube 24.
