PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid viscosity measurement system and a liquid viscosity measurement method capable of shortening a measurement time relative to a prior viscosity measurement tool, and measuring easily and correctly the viscosity even though a required amount of sample is small.
SOLUTION: A liquid viscosity measurement system 10 comprises: a dropping mechanism 1 for dropping a liquid as a liquid droplet D with a mass M by free fall from a dropping part 11 positioned at a prescribed height; a flat plate-shaped collision part 2 which is provided so as to face the dropping part 11 and to which the liquid droplet D dropped from the dropping part 11 collides; a first measurement device 31 for measuring a state of the liquid droplet D at the time it is dropped from the dropping part 11; a second measurement device 32 for measuring a state of the liquid droplet D immediately before collision with the flat plate-shaped collision part 2; a third measurement device 33 for measuring a state of the liquid droplet D after collision with the flat plate-shaped collision part 2; and a viscosity calculation device for calculating a viscosity of the liquid based on measurement results from the first measurement device 31, the second measurement device 32, and the third measurement device 33.
