PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crawler type robot capable of traveling with large driving force by a simple structure even when a pipe has a small diameter and a bent part.
SOLUTION: In the crawler type robot 1, a worm 7 is stored in a hollow hole 6a of a frame 6 and can rotate around a center axis. A worm tooth part 71 protruding in spiral is formed on an outer surface. A crawler belt 8 has an outer peripheral surface on which a plurality of protruding crawler belt tooth parts 81 are formed to mesh with the worm tooth part 71 of the worm 7 and can rotate by following the rotation of the worm 7 when a part of the crawler belt tooth parts 81 is in contact with the worm tooth part 71 to mesh therewith. An inter-traveling body flexible shaft 3 is further provided between two traveling bodies 2, 2 adjacent to each other such that an inner shaft 3b is rotatably supported in an outer tube 3a. The worms 7 can be equally rotated through the inter-traveling body flexible shaft 3.
