PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to improve throughput by not only determining a threshold of received signal strength of other cell radio stations but also learning whether to start transmission on the basis of past data and performing transmission efficiently.
SOLUTION: In a wireless communication system in which a plurality of wireless stations transmits on a shared frequency band, a wireless station includes control means for selecting a communication operation that maximizes communication characteristics for a channel state by referring to a learning table in which the communication characteristics with respect to received signal strength of a detected signal and the channel state including a belonging cell, a payload length of a frame to be transmitted and the number of MAC layer retransmissions are learned in advance, when selecting a communication operation for selecting transmitting and standby of a frame by carrier sense and a transmission rate when transmitting a frame.
