Title METHOD FOR IMPROVING RATE OF DEVELOPING MAMMALIAN FERTILIZED OVUM
Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the rate of developing mammalian fertilized ovum, to be utilized in the fields including medicine, veterinary medicine and livestock industry.

SOLUTION: This method comprises adding a vascular endothelial growth factor at a specified concentration (preferably 1-10 ng/mL) to a medium for developing mammalian fertilized ova and conducting a coculture with cumulus cells as the supporting cells. By this method, the normal rate of developing the fertilized ova can be raised and the number of transplantable embryos can be increased as a result of the coculture with the supporting cells and owing to the vascular endothelial growth factor acting effectively on the medium for developing the fertilized ova.

従来、ヒトを除く哺乳動物受精卵を体外で発生させるためには、上記受精卵を、本方法の基材となった培養液で培養していた。そして、上記受精卵の正常発生率を高め、移植可能胚数を増加させるようにしている。

Scope of claims (In Japanese)
【請求項1】
  ヒトを除く哺乳動物受精卵の発生培地に対し、所定濃度の血管内皮成長因子を添加して卵丘細胞との共培養を行い、上記ヒトを除く哺乳動物受精卵の正常発生率を高めることを特徴とするヒトを除く哺乳動物受精卵の発生率向上方法。
【請求項2】
  上記血管内皮成長因子の添加濃度を1~10ng/mlとしたことを特徴とする請求項1記載のヒトを除く哺乳動物受精卵の発生率向上方法。
