PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seaweed fermented food made from seaweed and having health function properties.
SOLUTION: The seaweed fermented food comprises unicellular particles and has health function properties, and is obtained by the method characterized by comprising the following process: decomposing seaweed using a glycosyl catabolic enzyme to change them into unicellular particles, and fermenting them with a consortium to which lactic acid bacteria and yeast are added. The seaweed fermented food can be eaten plainly and taken in by such various styles put on cooked rice or topped on vegetable salad, or the like because of having a physical property similar to that of yogurt or mousse, or utilized as various topping materials because of having a flavor and physical property similar to those of powdery cheese when dried. The seaweed fermented food has an activity of reducing natural lipid concentration in blood and the content of liver lipid.
