PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product that can simply and precisely measure the flow of the sea water for a long time at a shallow place of a coast dominantly affected by wave.
SOLUTION: A gypsum hardened body is formed by mixing calcined plaster, water-soluble melamine resin powder, and water, into a hemispherical hardened body. The planar face of the gypsum hardened body is adhered onto a board. The flow of the sea water is measured by using this device at the shallow place of the coast. The mean hourly flow speed of the sea water for a long time can be measured by the mean dissolving speed defined by means of mean thickness reducing speed of the gypsum hardened body. The mean dissolving speed and the absolute mean hourly flow speed are in linear relation, therefore if the linear relation is examined, the absolute mean hourly flow speed is precisely estimated at the various points of the actual place and at the various times.
