Technology summary (In Japanese)π電子系が稠密に長距離に渡って積層した「πスタック型高分子」を合成し、その光物理化学的性質および光電子機能を明らかにすることを目的とした。従来ポリアセチレン等に代表される主鎖共役型導電性高分子やポルフィリン、フラーレン類などの長共役型発色団によってのみ実現されて来た、エネルギー移動、電子移動などの制御を可能にする新しい高分子発色団を構造を創成することに挑戦した。研究対象としては、ポリジベンゾフルベンおよびその誘導体を選んだ。
