Technology summary (In Japanese)結晶構造をデザインして有機固体の構造、物性、反応、機能を設計する結晶工学の手法を用いた新しい高分子材料設計を行った。反応結晶中の分子の並べ方によって反応や機能を制御しながら、反応溶媒を用いずに固相で高分子合成できる新しい重合法を提案した。反応経路や速度が結晶格子によって支配される固相反応であるトポケミカル反応を用いると、高い反応選択性や反応収率が期待できるばかりでなく、無溶媒、無触媒系での反応が可能となる。また、溶液中などの等方性媒体中での反応から得られるものとは異なる特異な構造をもつ生成物が合成できる。本研究では、結晶工学とトポケミカル反応を利用して、既存の有機材料では見られない特性を発現できるように構造が制御された高分子材料を作製した。
