Technology summary (In Japanese)本研究の主目的は,走査型トンネル顕微鏡(STM)や近接光学顕微鏡(SNOM)などを用い,固体表面に形成した極微細構造,表面吸着分子系や完全に孤立した微粒子などの電子・光物性を分光学的手法により探索,解明することにある。これには表面微細構造や微粒子を1つ1つ識別する特定の微細ターゲットの分光計測,およびSTM発光分光と短パルス平面レーザ励起電子トンネル現象を組み合わせた原子スケール空間分解能とピコ秒レベルの時間分解の可能な分光計測系の構築を含む。1998年度の主な成果を次ぎに示した。
