Technology summary (In Japanese)本研究は超高圧,超強磁場,極低温の2~3を複合した極限環境を実現し,その下での物性測定を可能にする技術の開発と物性測定を行う。超高圧・低温あるいは超強磁場・低温下での磁化測定や超高圧・極低温下の電気抵抗測定,超高圧・低温下の誘電,光学測定およびメスバウア分光法を確立した。いずれも極限科学の飛躍に寄与しうる技術として期待している。これらの技術を用いて複合極限下の物性測定を行い,以下のような成果が得られた。Vの超伝導転移温度を120GPaまで高精度測定し,図のように単体元素としては最高の17.2Kに達することを見出した。H2Sのラマンスペクトルを100GPaまで測定し,最も非金属的といわれるH2Sが金属化することも見出した。また,CrTeの磁化率を10GPa程度までの高圧下で測定し,磁気相転位を確認した。その他,磁性体や重い電子系物質についても幾つかの新情報が得られた。XeやH2Sの超伝導化などに取り組む予定である。
